Special Lunch Day

Hey Friends!
I hope the sun has found you in your part of the world. We have had several glorious days in my town and it has done WONDERS for my spirit! Although, long afternoons spent at the playground does leave less time for blogging. :( I promise to keep updating when I can.

I have a March Hip LO that I forgot to share last month with you.
This LO is about our Friday afternoon lunch ritual at McDonald's for the last 2.5 years. Lots of new Pink Paislee & Studio Calico in the March kit for Hip 2B Square.
Again, these are camera phone pictures which aren't the 'best' quality but I do love having my cel camera on hand when I am in a pinch. I'd rather scrap with a less than perfect photo than have none at all.

Thanks for popping in!
Happy Tuesday!

After School Play Date

Happy Thursday!

I have a new layout to share with you today using the April Hip 2B Square kit!
This is a LO of my Little Muy and one of his classmates (sorry-I did not get this little cutie's parent's permission to publish him-thanks for understanding!). They were having an especially fun time building 'sandcastles' for me to take pics of.

Thanks for popping by!
Have a Happy Thursday!

My Mind's Eye Sketch Challenge: C & J

I did this sketch with the best of intentions of and then life got in the way :(
I am still thrilled with the end result and wanted to share this LO anyway.
The challenge was to use any My Mind's Eye product and do the LO based on the sketch.
The topic was a free-style, anything goes approach, so I scrapped 2 of my favorite boys ;)
I took the pic over the Easter holiday and just love how my little guy is looking at his cousin.
He really looks up to him.

Supplies: Cardstock-kraft, Papers-My Mind's Eye, Trim-Pink Paislee & from stash.
Alphas-American Crafts Thickers

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Victoria Day to my fellow Canucks!

This Little Monster

I decided to play along this month with Sassafras's sketch challenge and pulled out some monstery papers to go with Little Man's monsterous expression ;).

All supplies Sassafrass except buttons, embroidery floss & DYMO labels.

Make sure to check out their blog so you can play along too!

Spring

Happy long weekend, Everyone!

Since my March Hip DT was help up at the border so long last month, I got March & April back to back and have been scrapping up a storm.
I am happy to say my lack of mojo is a thing of the past.
Thank goodness for my Hip Design Team membership or I may have given up on the whole thing entirely!
EEK!

This is a picture of the April kit-the colors are just GORGEOUS. I'd swear, Kimberley can read my mind when she puts these together-I am always super thrilled when she shares a peek.
April kit.

April Add-on.

This LO is a pic I took of my Little Man a few years ago when we bought him a new swing set. It's hard to believe how much of a baby he still was back then. Just check out that cute little baby face!

I was experimenting on this LO a bit with a blocking format that seems to be quit popular these days. Not sure if I missed the mark here, but it IS growing on me. I think next time, I will make my LO a bit less symmetrical. That would probably suit me a bit more.

I also wanted to add a card that I did with the kit as well.
Nothing too earth shattering here but I like them a bit more on the simple side.

Caterpillar Love

I took these pictures awhile ago but kept forgetting to scrap them. Luckily, I had been organizing a bit and found them! I knew immediately the greens and blue in this kit would look wonderful with the pics and went from there.

This LO made with March Hip 2B Square kit EXCEPT: Alpha beads (Dollar Store)
& yellow trim (Doodlebug). Pink accent at the top is a dis-mantled Studio Calico Tissue flower. The wooden alphas were first sprayed with Mr. Huey's in 'SchoolHouse'.

Thanks for popping in today! I still have a few more projects to share!

Happy Tuesday!

A Happy Easter

I have been mixing it ALL up lately! I have begun to find that I am liking and am much less intimidated when doing 8.5x11" layouts and 2 pagers as well.

Below is my latest 2 pager and it is the 3rd project I have to show you using the March Hip 2B Square kit.

The LO is pretty basic except I had alot of fun making my own paper pieced embellishments (which I cut free hand & double matted and is of family celebrations this past Easter.

All supplies using March Hip kit.

Thanks for peeking in! Have a Happy Sunday!

Ka-Peach?

What a busy week!!? We had a 50% Book Fair at my Little Guy's school that I worked at, I did library duty, I started taking care of another little munchkin after school, we had a day home together and topped it off with my Dad's wedding yesterday (the below snapshot is one of my favorites, I think, they both look so relaxed & happy in front of the camera for a change!)

Whew!

And then to top it off, everytime I tried to post my Hip LOs, Blogger was down.. grrrrrrrrrr.
These are the first 2 projects I have to share with you.
The LO is based on THIS sketch:

I did mine in 8.5x11" format and deviated a bit from the photo placement. I was very happy with the way the colors popped against the black & white background.

This LO is about a nugget of a word my Little Guy picked up from his kindergarten teacher- he was actually trying to say 'capisce?' and it came out this way. Gotta love the way a 6 year old interprets the world!

All supplies EXCEPT buttons & black paint from March Hip kit.

Here is a simple little tag I made again using the kit, some extra embroidery floss & black splattered paint.

Thanks for peeking in today!
I hope you have a FAB and safe weekend!

Return of the missing mojo :)

After spending 10 days in customes, I FINALLY got this kit from Hip 2B Square and omgosh!! I have been scrapping again and it feels SO great!

I have a few peeks so far and will hopefully be posting my projects over the next week.

In the meantime, Happy NSD!!!
