Enchanted and I-Rock!

Happy Saturday Everyone!
Tonight I have a few new projects to share from the new Enchanted line from Imaginisce.
It's chock full of Princesses, crowns, dragons & castles and I had a BALL playing with it!
The first project is a card I made by fussy cutting the castle from the paper and mounting about half on folded cardstock. I then blinged some elements with my I-Rock & Hot Rock crystal gems (3mm-6.5mm).
I hand cut some elements of the castle from a second sheet of paper and popped them off the design using Extreme Adhesive Squares from Glue Arts.
It was actually a super easy card and it came together really fast. The most tedious part was handcutting the grass. YIKES. I am a slave to this hobby. :)

ALL supplies Imaginisce.

This second project was inspired by the packagingh from Imaginisce's Fashion Flower line.
I traced the packaging on the wrong side of my paper and handcut. I then scored it (using the opened packaging as my guide) and got to gluing. I then cut a second coordinating piece of paper to make the 'flap' part of the purse. A 12x12" sheet of paper is 'almost' enough to make the whole project but it is a BIT bigger-so I just cut that piece seperate and mounted it on pink cardstock, and hand cut a small scalloped edge to it.
I added ribbon, Roly Rosie flowers, some stickers from the Enchanted collection and gems using my I-Rock.
This also came together fairly quickly and easily (after the scoring, of course!)
I intend this to be a gift holder for a small piece of jewellery or a gift card.

All supplies Imaginisce.

Thanks for popping by!
Have a great Saturday night!

Fireman Sam

Woohoo! I was surfing blogs today and noticed 2 of my projects were showcased on My Little Shoebox!

Both LOs showcase 2 HUGE things that Little Man was loving this summer-Soccer & Pretending to be a fireman (and anything else involving firemen-firetrucks-etc.)  These LOs were made using the 'Simple Life' Line which is designed using pickup trucks, farm house, tractors, sheep-lots of farm imagery but if you look closely at both these LOs-there is nothing here that would make you think 'farm'. I love how versatile this brand of paper really is and hope that this inspires you to use it for a non-themed LO.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Friday!

Happy Birthday!

It seems like just yesterday I was so excited to be a part of the Momenta DT and here my term is up!
Time really is speeding past.

These are my last DT projects for Momenta and I have to say are amongst my favorite so far.
The below LO is based on a sketch by my fellow DT mate, Nancy Stolz.
I had alot of fun working on this LO of my DN's b-day.

And then I was at Zellers last week (I always peek in scrapbook aisle) and was SO surprised to find new Christmas Momenta goodies. I couldn't help myself and I made a little splurge and then did a little playing with paper & glue.

The Color Room

I have been following this challenge blog weekly since it began (they are on week 29 now) and have finally found the chance to play along. If you are not familiar with it, basically, they have a picture (usually of a beautifully decorated room) and pull a color scheme from it. They have a very talented DT who continuously produce gorgeous LOs and offer a monthly prize. If you have never been before, you should definaltely check them out! They also offer a sketch for the LO AND a sketch for a card to make from your scraps.

You can this week's color scheme here and this is my take on it. :)

Supplies: Paper- K&Co., Making Memories, Felt-Fancy Pants, Bling-Prima
Buttons-assorted, Black Zig Pen, DMC black embroidery floss.

Supplies- **See above. Rub-ons/BoBunny

A Wonderful Surprise.

Funny how some things happen, isn't it? Last week was pretty rough. My Little Man was pretty sick with the flu/cold for several days. One day he just slept, had a fever so high he just couldn't stay awake. This child rarely gets sick and when he does, he is still pretty active and happy-go-lucky. I was pretty stressed about it.
I can happily report he is almost as good as new and back to his old self.

And then Friday a Nor 'Easter blew through (and I mean BLEW) so hard that it knocked down this monster tree.Well, HALF of it anyway.

And THEN the other half blew down.
EEK!
(see below)

But after assessing the situation on Saturday, I feel VERY fortunate that the tree fell the way that it did and not directly on my house (which it very easily could have) or WORSE-on a person or car passing by. Thank God for small miracles!

And THEN, I got this wonderful email from Kimberly over at Hip 2B Square scrapbooking , inviting me to her design team!! I have been watching her blog for awhile now and the creations her DT puts out with her fab kits are beautiful and SO inspiring. I can only hope that I do them justice.
You can read the announcement HERE. Be sure to stop by and check her out!

I think this is going to be a GREAT week!

Blog Hop! MLS Style!

WOOHOO!
Welcome to the My Little Shoebox Blog hop!
How cute was Erin's LO??
If you didn't know about the hop, then I suggest you start HERE so you don't miss a thing!

We are doing a MASH UP today where we are throwing caution to the wind and mixing product lines. Well as soon as we decided to do this, I knew I would take advantage of the rainbow of colors that MLS offers.

This page is a re-do for me (I know-SO many scrappers think re-dos are a NO NO but I figure if it is going into my album, I want to be happy with it ;) ) so I did it over and am I ever glad that I did!

All products are My Little Shoebox with the esception of 'Cutie' tag (American Crafts), Buttons (mix from my stash) & cardstock-black, kraft & white (Bazzill)

Close up of my layered butterfly (punch-Martha Stewart)

Chickadee stamp from MLS Sunday Market collection.

(arg! Not sure why only 1 'flipped'! but you get the gist...tee hee)

Now, make sure you HOP on over to Pamela's World of Scrap to see what devine project she has in store for you!

Thank you for stopping by!
Have a GREAT Day!

Sweet Summer 2010

Even though it got REALLY hot at the end of the season, I am really sad to say good-bye to Summer-it was really the best one in a REALLY long time. So I was going through some summer pics and decided this one needed a home. I started playing with my Echo Park stash and have put a serious dent in it.
Thanks for peeking.

Playing with my I-Top

Since my son started kindergarten, I have been cleaning my house and doing a MAJOR purge of the things that have been collecting for the last 5 years-especially our closets and dressers!
While paring down my hubby's collection of PJ bottoms, I noticed some FABULOUS plaid patterns that would look great on scrappy projects and tucked some away in my scrap room.
The brads in the middle of my flowers are 1 pair I kept from the donation pile. I made them with my handy-dandy I-top, the template for the 16mm & 28 mm (just punch a template with paper & trace a circle on the WRONG side of your fabric, then make your brads with it).
Layer several coordinating Fashion Flowers & pop it through your canvas bag (which I picked up at a local Dollarama this summer for $2!!!).

Imaginisce October sketch challenge!

Woohoo!
Happy October!
You know what THAT means!
We are doing our monthly blog hop at Imaginisce and this month's sketch was designed by ME!!
As you can see, I deviated from it a bit-I changed my title placement and added some extra embellies but other than that, it's a super-simple & super easy sketch! I hope you can play along with us!
And as an added bonus-I will send some Imaginisce goodies out to one lucky commenter (who comments by midnight EST tonight!). I will post the winner on Monday.

Thanks for popping by and don't forget to visit and comment on my team-mates blogs too!
You can find them all HERE.
Have a great Weekend!

Buddies.

Several weeks ago, I was SO.VERY.LUCKY and won a Halloween prize pack from EchoPark and got it in the mail last week (Thank you AGAIN, Echo Park!!). I normally am not a huge fan of doing 'event' LOs (I'm an everyday moment scrapper) but I couldn't resist putting this paper to good use. I have had ALOT of fun playing around with it and got pretty creative with my fussy cutting & paper trimmer as you can tell. In fact, I like this line SO much I am half way through a SECOND H-ween LO.
If you have a backlog of Halloween pics (like me) and hate scrapping these types of LOs, I suggest you pick up this line-it is SURE to get you excited about scrapping Halloween.

Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Sunday!

Boo!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!
Were you just here?
Wasn't there a blog hop AND a sketch AND a promise of a prize posted???
Are you losing you mind?
NO-You're not and YES there was a different post here about a half an hr ago.
I jumped the gun-We aren't having our Imaginisce blog hop until MONDAY-so PLEASE make sure you pop by then!
Julie & Marielle-You will both still be eligible for my RAK.
YIKES.

First I HAVE to say that I was cropping last weekend with some very WONDERFUL, TALENTED and OH - SO -FUNNY friends and the mojo was just OOZING out. My friend, Tracey, was on a mission and did some fabby Hallowe'en projects and totally inspired me to get off my keester and do some of my own. (BTW-make sure to check out her blog today-she has a wonderful Hallowe'en project posted that you don't want to miss!)
So instead, I am going to share a couple of Halloween projects that I did for Momenta.
The first is a BOO banner.
I realized I didn't have any 'Halloween' papers or embellishments from them (you CAN buy them but I never thought ahead and ordered any-WHAT WAS I THINKING??!!), so I improvised a bit and was still pretty happy with the end result.
For these projects, I used the 'Pure' CS pack & the 'Earthones' CS pack.
And these alphas: Crimped alphas for the banner & Puffy Alphas for the BOO card.

All supplies from Momenta EXCEPT transparency overlays & the fibers/trim.
The rest is ATD/MOMENTA (you can pick this up online or at Walmart, Zellers & Michael's)

Thanks again for stopping by!
And don't forget to come by for the Imaginisce blog hop on Monday!
Sorry again for the confusion!
Have a great weekend!
