Funky Toes

I was surfing in a super fun forum at LIITD and came across
this post talking about a FAB pedi. It inspired me to dig out my
old pedi stuff (Because I used to LOVE doing at home pedi's and
even better going out and getting one before I was a mama/addicted
scrapper!) and do my toes.

What do ya think?? (I apologise to anyone who doesn't like
feet pics and advise you to stop reading now ;)

From Trains to Rollercoasters?

* * * * * * * * * * *

Little Man found a new love at Zellers 2 weeks ago. A roller coaster from K'nex. Everytime we go to Zellers, we go and 'visit it' (which has ended in tears several times-OY!!). I promised him that if he went 'potty' we would get for him. Yesterday, he did (promptly followed by LM going again in his pants. ACK! Momma is getting tired of stinky bums after 4.5 years!!) Of course, as soon as LM pottied, we called DH, who immediately left work and went to pick up the roller coaster. I still think we were duped by a 4 year old (because he hasn't pottied since :( )but who can deny this cute little face?? For the record, it took me 1 hr 50 mins and LM assisted quite nicely!

Mixer 25-White LO challenge

WoW! Can it REALLY already be the 22nd??!! WHERE is this month going?
I wanted to share my LO from the DT reveal for Mixer #25! Our challenge this month was to use 'an all white' pallette. You can see that I chose a mixture of creams and snuck a wee bit of grey in there. With as much aprehension as this assignment caused (read the rest of my Team-Mate's comments here & and check out the AMAZING LOs from them as well-these girls REALLY know how to ROCK-it!)
Please check it out and if you have scrappy time this month, play along! We have a GREAT prize sponsored by Noel Mignon!
* * * * *

This LO is picturing one of the last afternoon naps Little Man had (at the age of 2+ !) We had come back from a busy afternoon at the playground and he fell asleep (on the floor with a pillow) while I was making supper.
* * * * *
Supplies used: Basic Grey, Paper Company CS, Pink Paislee Die cut (?) paper, Corrugated Cardboard-$1 store, bling- Basic Grey & Kaiser, flowers-Petaloo, Journal spot-Jenni Bowlin, Mirror bird-Heidi Swapp, Alphas-Basic Grey, White Magic Mesh, black zig pen, DMC floss.

Also, it is my turn to host a scraplift tag challenge at Just Cre8! Stop by and play with us! We are taking sign ups now!
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Wednesday!

TGIM!

What a wild weekend! Saturday was nearly a monsoon at some points-CRAZY wet!! Luckily Sunday cleared up nicely-we went over to SIL's & BIL's for a belated b-day celebration and had LOTS of laughs! (and too much cake!) The kids were wild and had a great time. Then we came home for a bit and then headed back to SIL's for a mini-pool party :)
* * * * *
At 7:00 I had my last photography class/field trip (I have yet to upload my pics, so I am not sure WHAT I got) but I learned some really cool things. The photography instructor is MEGA-smart and really talented. He really helped clear up some questions and now I can read my user's manual with a little bit more knowledge than I previously had. It was a crazy busy day!
Check out his gallery, he has some amazing pictures on it! If you ever have a chance to take a photography class from Ivon at Appleby's I'd HIGHLY reccommend it! Thanks again, Markie for such a FABULOUS b-day gift!!
* * * * *
Thankfully after such a crazy weekend, Little Man's session was cancelled today (and I totally intended to stay in the backyard and relax) and I ended up cleaning instead and did a HUGE purge of stuff (that I am planning on donating). I am STILL not done but then I realized that I forgot to upload my Monday DT LO for Scrapbooks N' Stuff, so here I am!

* * * * *

This LO is of Little Man and his friend a couple of years ago. They were having so much fun **NEAR** the pool! LOL. They wouldn't get in! TFL!ALL supplies from Scrapbooks N' Stuff MME Just Dreamy II collection except for Thickers alphas (american Crafts) & Prima Owl Stamp.

Thanks for stopping by, Happy MONDAY!!

HI, My name is Cindy..

..and I am a PROCRASINATOR. On Tuesday, I dug out all my un-catalogued LOs and this was the pile I came up with. And NO, I didn't count them-I was too afraid to! After my first hour fighting with too small page protectors and trying to add post extensions, I have desided D ring ALL the way will be the way for me to go and NO price will be TOO high for getting those hours back!. SHHHHHHEEEEEEEEESH! No wonder I was putting it off so long! Do you add your finished pages to your albums right away? What brand albums/page protectors do you use? (I need to switch from the cheapest/whatever is on sale method I have been using!)

These are some pictures that I took for a photography class I am taking at Appleby's. The first shot is my 'blurring the action' shot LM is madly waving a Canadian flag and the second shot is called 'panning'. A really cool technique that I am trying to master.

Thanks for stopping by. Happy Thursday!

Last Just Cre8 reveal

WOW!!

I have had this blog post ready to go for a few days. It's so funny how things can change so quickly. I am sad to say that this is my last Just Cre8 reveal. Sue has decided to end the LO kits. You can read the announcement here. I just want to take this oppertunity to thank Sue for taking a chance on me and inviting me to her team and the rest of the crew for for their support and for giving me so much inspiration.

It was almost as if Sue read my mind when she put this kit together. It came together SO easily. And even my MOJO cooperated! All projects are made ENTIRELY from the August Creative kit. As you can tell, I was LOVING the blue/orange combo!!!

This card was made by cutting the Skribblz 'Journey' and restructuring it into 'Joy'. I also fussy-cut the funky design out of the Basic Grey paper. I left my chipboard naked because a.) I like the look of it this way and b.) I am a lazy scrapper ;)

***

I had ALOT of fun with the Bazzill-just the Edge products on this LO. I made a 'lace' looking border at the bottom of this LO and then ran contrasting ribbon across the bottom and adhered with staples. I cut the 'loopy' edge in sections to make the straight edge 'curl' around my circle and adhered in pieces. I really liked the over-all effect here. I also traced a die cut piece of artisan chipboard and hand cut around it, using it as a mat for my photo. The flowers were fussy cut and pop-dotted as well for interest. I also cut my BG bling and re-purposed it into leaves for my flower.

Also, I got the idea for my page from a thread started on the JC8 site and issued a challenge on it as well. You can see it here.

What can I say about this one? It's one of my new faves. I LOVE how the polka paper looks against this bright orange. I think I could seriously EAT this kit! I loved working with it THAT much!

* * * * * *

This one didn't photograph well. I will try again in better light this week. This is DH and LM go-cart racing in PEI last week. I don't know which of them had more fun! Note the denim matted under the photo. It was a great way to add texture to my LO and very fun to get in a kit!
***

In this LO, I used the August JC8 stamps and stamped a mat under my photos. I can already tell I will be getting LOTS of use from this design! I also used more letters from the vinyl Skribblz 'Journey' to make 'run' , double matted my 'swiss-cheese-looking' Bazzill border for added pop. And MORE fussy cutting of the vines on the left.

I hope youn enjoyed the reveal. Please make sure to check out my teamies HERE!

Have a HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!

Lookie Lookie what I got in the mail yesterday!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Happy Mail Days!

I got my July Sussies kit (it was a while getting here since I signed on to the DT so late.) I would say this kit was TAILOR MADE for me. So many fun aliens (or are they cute monsters??) and owls. I SO love Prima and Crate! I should get some GREAT Little Man pages out of this! I will have LOs done and posted by this week (I am hoping-Little Man was up partying 'til 10pm last night and the ONLY thing that got him to sleep was me laying down with him and of course I fell asleep until 11pm, so last night was a COMPLETE write-off!)

Wish me luck tonight!
Happy Tuesday and thank you for visiting!!

FAB color combo-Blue and Orange

Scrapbooks N' Stuff reveals every Monday (which I think is ALOT of fun and very different!), so I have ANOTHER LO to share with you from the My Mind's Eye - Just Dreamy II Collection!

* * *

This LO is of Little Man making faces for me. He has had alot of training understanding emotions and expressions in other people (he still doesn't get when he causes someone pain though-which is usually me-LOL). But we work on them daily and it has become a game of sorts-'Show me Happy! Show me sad! Show me surprise!..' and he is happy to make the faces for me. The scrapper in me, made sure to take pics on a day he was especially cute AND clean.

Be sure to stop by Wednesday for the Just Cre8 August kit reveal!! woohoo!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a FABULOUS Monday!!

OMW(ord)!!

I REALLY had intended to post these Thursday or Friday. WHERE is the time going??
I scrapped ALL weekend (for the most part) and got my JC8 reveal DONE. I am really happy with my projects this month and can't WAIT to share them! :)
***
As promised, here are a few pics from our trip to the BEAUTIFUL (albeit chilly) PEI. BUT as I am scrolling through, I realize that I NEVER really got any pics of the ISLAND!! LOL
I only have pics of us in the camp (boring), at the pool and amusement park!!
***
I was thrilled that Little Man went into the pool (3 TIMES!!) and got on RIDES!! He is REALLY making so much progress these past few months and we are SO proud of him!!
***
***
Us in the pool (I cropped as much of ME in a swimsuit as I could!! LOL)
***
***
Little Man's FIRST train ride with DH.

This was his second (BUT not his last!) train ride with Me :)
***

***
A ride that he got on ALL BY HIMSELF (AND enjoyed!!)

***
And HERE he is trying to talk DH into going on the ferris wheel (yeah-THAT was going to happen!!) LOL :0)

Be sure to check back this week. I have some new LO's to post! (woohoo!)

Have a happy SUNDAY!!

Mixer 24 & Scrapbooks N Stuff 1st DT Reveal

WOW. I MUST say I am LOVING the JUST DREAMY II line from My Mind's Eye that Scrapbooks 'n Stuff sent me for my FIRST DT kit. The colors are so vibrant and fun PLUS I got a sample of Worldwin cardstock and WOW! Love the fact that it is two-tone (with a deeper/shade of the same color on the opposite side-talk about getting a MAJOR bang for you buck! Yes, I AM a scrap-GEEK)

This LO is celebrating the fact that DH and I have been together EIGHTEEN years as of June (isn't that NUTSO??). This is a self portrait that we took and is 100% 'US'. LOL

All items are from the Scrapbooks n'Stuff DT kit EXCEPT the American Crafts Chipboard Alphas. :)

******Mixer 24*******

First of all, I MUST welcome my new Team-mates to the Mix it Up! DT! They are a fabulously talented group existing of Raechelle Bellus, Erin Morehouse, Cherie Nymeyer and lastly (but certainly NOT least!) Estee Stone. Of course the ever talented, Mélanie Blackburn, Isabelle Gagnon and Juliana Michaels are still designing for MIU! (I am still wondering how I got so lucky to be asked to this fabulous group!) Please be sure to check out their fabulous creations!

Our Mixer this week was to use Juliana's ROCKING sketch and to scrap a picture of ourselves that is at LEAST 20 years old (mine is 30+ ;) ). I LOVE how this mixer came together for me-the sketch called for 3 photos, so I repeated the same photo except in b&w and smaller and replaced my third picture with this cutie patootie girl on the tricycle (cut from Sass Lass papers). I even mixed and matched my alphas from leftover Am Craft foam Thickers.

Did I mention our Mixers run for TWO weeks now?? So you have DOUBLE the time to play along with us! Our sponsor this month is Noel Mignon.

I am happy to say I made this LO with scraps (with the exception of the Swiss Dot Bazzill for the base) and I am THRILLED with how it turned out.

pps-MME, Sassafras Lass (girl), Cosmo Cricket tags, Pink Paislee (journal strips)

Martha Stewart Boarder punch

Bazzill cardstock

American Crafts foam thickers

Pearl bling (unknown)

Thanks a BUNCH for stopping by! I will have some fun photos from our PEI Trip this week in the next day or two!

Have a HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!
