Mini Album

A few weeks ago, I decided I was going to make myself a mini to keep in my purse, since I have made one for almost everyone that I know.
This one is a cardstock base (like the others) and is about 4x4`in size. I used punched cardstock and buttons to secure the cover.

This is a shot of the inside cover & this Dear Lizzy Neapolitan sticker looks perfect as my backdrop.
I also added a measuring tape sticker & this awesome Navy & cream striped pattern from Shoreline. I finished it off with foam Thickers since I really didnèt want alot of weight on this project.

I again kept the inside quite neutral and let my favorite photos take center stage - I also kept my embellishments to a minimum amount since I didn't want alot of bulk added to my album either.

This type of project really is easy-peasy and can be done in a little over an hour, once you decide on what your theme and colour scheme is going to be.

And I also have a card to share using mostly the Shoreline line.
As you can tell, I canNOT get enough of that striped paper and hiw cute is that sun!!??!!.

That's all I have for today,
Thank you for popping in!

Quality Time

Happy Monday!
Do you ever buy a collection of paper and then NOT use it because you don't want to ruin it?
I did this with the Fresh Goods line from Pebbles Summer release last year. I put it to good use this week though and re-did another LO that never felt 'quite right' to me.
I am happy that I re-did it in these happy bright colors. The hand-made banners, pin-wheels & chevron just scream Summer to me.

All supplies Pebbles EXCEPT: October Afternoon (Blue houndstooth), Alpha Stickers (American Crafts & Cosmo Cricket), BoBunny Ribbon.

**Tutorial on how I made my embellishments can be found HERE.

The week of Mother's Day had me pulling out my camera more than I normally do and I knew I would scrap all these little moments (Little Man learned how to blow a bubble, got his first allowance, tried potatoes for the first time -and liked them, it was Mother's Day & my 39th b-day. Since there was really nothing in common with all my photos, I chose to entitle my page 'This Week'. I also broke out a bunch of scraps and mixed my American Crafts lines. I really like the way this turned out.
Supplies: Kraft (71464) - Cardstock, White (71081) - Cardstock, Denim (71073) - Cardstock, Fall Leaves Paper (35530) - Nightfall, Sweet Sundress Paper (35634) - Dear Lizzy Neapolitan, Cambria Paper (35726) - Shoreline, Remarks Dimensional Stickers Thyme (42231) - Gardenia, Muse Whitewash (53344) - Amy Tangerine Sketchbook, Borders, Accents & Phrases Stickers (42235) - Dear Lizzy Neapolitan, Plastic Buttons Assortment (85573) - Daydreams

So Loved

Happy Thursday (and happy last day of school if you are one of my local friends!!)
I wanted to post a project during my last few quiet moments before Summer Break starts tomorrow
and I have my sweet boy home for the next 2 months (I hope I still think he is as sweet, this time next week ;) )

This LO is a re-do. The original is so old, in fact, I can't find the original online at all, so I can't post what it used to look like - I think my old gallery may have been deleted due to lack of updating for several years. I will have to start taking pics of my before LOs from now on.

This LO uses the Pebbles' Fresh Goods line from last Summer. I have been holding onto it forever, but figured it would look great with this old photo of Little Man (from 2008).

All items from Pebbles except: White background paper (Lily Bee), Thickers & Cardstock (American Crafts), Paper Doilie (Dollar Store)

And here is a little card that I did using some Pebbles scraps, Pebbles Chipboard, Pebbles paper flags.
Doilie & Ribbon from Dollar Store.

I am off to pick up the kids for 1 last afternoon on the school playground!
Thanks for stopping by.

Cutie

Hello again, Everyone!
I have been scrapbooking like crazy this past week, trying to finish up some assignments before Little Man is out of school and now I finally have some time to post my projects.

This LO is using one of my favorite lines EVER - Dear Lizzy Neapolitan. I normally don't do pale, subdued, girly colors that well, but I think I have used almost every last little bit of this collection. I can't even imagine how many projects I have done with it so far, I just keep reaching for it.
This LO is me and a little Sweetie I met for the first time a little over a year ago. I scrapped the pic right away but now, I am converting over to 8.5x11 LOs and I wanted to include this one in my album as well, so I had a do-over. (really, I'll use any excuse to use my Dear Lizzy stash though ;) )

Supplies: White (71081) - Cardsock, Warm Memories Paper (35633) - Dear Lizzy Neapolitan, Lucky Laugh Paper (35640) - Dear Lizzy Neapolitan, Simple Romance (35645) - Dear Lizzy Neapolitan, Cheerful Notes (35626) - Dear Lizzy Neapolitan, Mini Fair Ribbons (78066) - Dear Lizzy Neapolitan, Large Decorative Tags (78069) - Dear Lizzy Neapolitan, Printed Chipboard Shapes (78070) - Dear Lizzy Neapolitan, Remarks Borders, Accents & Phrases Stickers (42235) - Dear Lizzy Neapolitan, Fancy Geyser (53113) - Thickers Dear Lizzy

Thanks for popping by again!
Good night!

Cards Part Deux

Happy Saturday!
I have  afew more cards to share from the May kit - Can you believe I did a WHOPPING 7 cards?
I usually do 1 or 2 more than I am supposed to BUT I rarely ever post all of them and only usually post the ones I am happy with. I actually liked all of my cards this month for a change.

The cards below cards use the Smash washi tape included with this month's Add-on kit. It is muti-pattern/colored, so I cut each strip where the pattern changes & adhered similar patterns on a small strip of paper and then trimmed into small banners or punched into circles.

This card is actually quite tiny, it's about 3x3".

Free Comic Book Day

This year, I found about a fun little celebration called Free Comic Book Day (which coincidentally happened to be on National Scrapbooking Day as well ;) ). We went to down to our local gaming/comic book store where there were a fair amount of comic book fans. Little Man got his head super-imposed on Spider Man's body, ate cake & hot dogs, oogled at all the gaming paraphenia and got some free comics (which he LOVES reading now, BTW). We got to hang out with a good friend and her adorable little boy. The kids LOVED it. The scrappy Mom in me had my faithful Rebel in hand and was in picture-taking-heaven (I am sure I won't be getting away this type of behavior for much longer where Little Man is concerned).

This LO is based on the monthly sketch challenge from Hip 2-b Square for the month of May and features product from the May kit + Add-ons

There is also a Card sketch for the month of May as well and this was my spin on it.

Hip Cards

I have  a few cards to share from the May Hip kit tonight. I actually went a bit beyond the usual 4 card assignment and did a few more that I will share in a later post. Cards are not usually something I do quickly but this weekend, I was on a roll and went with it. Plus, this kit had Dear Lizzy Neapolitan stickers in it (which is one of my all-time favorite lines) and I think that is what kept me going. ;o)

Made with the May Hip 2-b Square kit + Add-ons.

I Love Every Second

Happy Tuesday!
I have another LO to share today made with the May Hip 2-b Square kit.
Kimberly is such a pro at mixing pattern paper & embellishments.
I can honestly say I really look forward to my kit coming every month - it is always a real treat for me!!
You can check out her awesome kits HERE.

This LO is about Mother's day last month - I got some very sweet and heartfelt gifts from my 2 boys, complete with a homemade card, a breakfast of toast and jam in bed and an extra hour of shut-eye.
It was quite honestly, a perfectly quiet day (just the way I like my Sundays!!)

I intend to store my cards & other memorabilia in the page protector behind the LO for safe keeping.

& Baby Makes Three

Another hot trend right now is hexagons, I LOVE the look of them but have to admit I was a bit stumped once I got mine all cut out of this pattern paper (Side note: I normally wouldn't be so specific about cutting each shape out seperately, I just knew that I wanted a certain color pallatte in this LO and went with that).
I decided just to make a narrow strip to anchor my photo and dressed a few of them up with some little bits & buttons.

I made the banner with my new-ish Jenni Bowlin penant punch. These shapes are fairly easy to cut out by hand (which I used to do) but it goes so much more quickly with a punch.
If you add alot of penant/banner type embellishments to your LOs, I highly recommend a punch.

**By the way, the pic is of Little Man when he was only several weeks old - look how cute that baby fat is!!! He definately is not that chubby little guy anymore :(

LO made from May kit + Add-ons from Hip 2-b Square.
