Sandspit 2011

This post marks the last of my May assignments from Hip 2B Square.
I really had ALOT of fun with this kit.
This LO is of my nephew and my Little Man on a recent family vacation.
Unfortunately, my camera died on Day 2 but luckily, my Mother/Sister-in-laws both like to take as many pictures as I do (photo credit on this LO goes to both of them).

This next LO is about a day off from school Little Man had due to an eye infection, so I decided we make and decorate some cupcakes. While playing around with the pink and blue frosting, I asked him what he was decorating his cupcake with and he said, 'Pink eyes. ;) ' Only a 6 year old would think of this. And only a crazy, scrapbooking Momma would take a picture and scrapbook it. :)
I wanted to show how versatile the cloud punch by Fiskars is. I used it to make the 'frosting' on my cupcake and then doodled a thin outline for added interest.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a Happy Sunday!

Family Time

Hi! It's Me (again ;) )
I told ya that I have been scrapping like crazy! LOL

This is another LO that I did using the May Hip Kit.
On this LO, I challenged myself to NOT use any pattern paper and opted to use only the embellies, buttons & die cuts that came with this kit. I traced a circle on my LO and then added my photos and embellies around inside of it. The stitching took a bit of time and the overall effect is a little kitchy but I am happy with the way this came out.

I also managed a little Thank You tag with some of my scraps.
I used the packaging from my Studio Calico rubons as the tags base (the background grid pattern)

Little Buds

Hello Blog Friends!
I have 2 more projects to share with you today using the may kit from Hip 2B Square. The below LO was misted with Mister Huey in Calico White (using a precut piece of cardboard as a template). Once that dried, I cut small strips and adhered them behind my photo, adding buttons & a few clouds ;). I was really happy with how well the Mister Huey covered the page.

Thanks for peeking!
Happy Monday!

Splish Splash

This was a 'I-bought-some-new-scrappy-things-and-want-to-use-them-just-for-fun' page.
The LO is about my sweet little nephew who bacame a fish during our little vaca last month.

I got the new Pink Paislee & Fancy Pants (Beach Bum) from Scrap Your World a few weeks ago and was just itching to use it. I also purchased a new stitching pattern (the 'Love' on my LO, also from SYW) from Trish as well.

**Please forgive the horrid photography of my LOs. My poor little Canon is being serviced (I am on my 3rd week without the old girl) and am desperately trying to figure out how to use my Hubby's point & shoot. Thanks for understanding. BTW-do you have a point and shoot? What brand is it and what do you love about it? Is there anything you don't like? I am thinking of getting one as a back up and have NO idea which way to go on it.

Thanks for popping by.
Happy Sunday!

Da Boys

Hello? Hello? Is anybody there?

What a bad blogger I have turned out to be this Summer-EEK.
But I have LOTS to share in the upcoming weeks-I have been scrapping like crazy these past few days and have been so blessed to receive an another FABBY kit in the meantime from Kimberly at Hip 2B Square, so I am hoping to be around ALOT more for at least the next month with some scrappiness to share with you. I am hoping I am not jinxing it by typing those words, however.

The first LO I have to share with you is from the May kit from Hip 2B and uses some misting (using Mister Huey's Color Mister in Bonny Blue & the Studio Calico veneer stars (see below) that were included in this month's kit as masks). I was also told recently, by my good pal, Tracey that she misses the stitching on my LOs.

Well, I can safely say that I have stitched my LOs so much recently that my fingers are raw in several places BUT I REALLY like the effect of it against the below masking.
You can see all kit details HERE.

You can also see that I have purchased a cloud punch (Fiskars) and am really gettiing my $$ worth.
I think I have added clouds to most of my projects this month. :)

I really love using shapes that I find in different ways and you can see the SC Veneer Star makes a disguised appearance yet again on the below card.

I traced the outside of the star for my card base, traced it again for the full star and then traced the inside of it for my smaller red star on the inside.

That's all I have for today, if you are still dropping by my little spot on the 'net,
I SINCERELY and humbly THANK YOU.

Happy Saturday!

Hello, There!

OMGosh! I can't believe it has been almost ONEWHOLE MONTH since I have been here.
I have been scrapping some (I have been diligantly working on a couple of gift albums for family and friends).
One is a 12x12 wedding album for my Dad and his new wife and the other is for a good friend's little boy (she doesn't scrap but LOVES to take pictures). Of course, nothing is photographed or uploaded and this week, my camera chooses to give up on things completely and stopped working :( IO can hardly say that I blame it, though. My Canon has been given quite the workout over the last few weeks.

The last two months have been CRAZY BUSY but thankfully, it's winding down a bit now. I don't normally post alot of pics on my blog (that aren't scrap related) but I feel I need to share a bit of what I have been up to. Hopefully, you haven't given up on visiting my blog just yet. ;)

From start to finish- I have spent the last 6 weeks preparing for my Dad's wedding, my Hubby's Graduation from WMI, my little sister's prom (isn't she sweet??),our 20th class reunion, Family Fun Days, a yard sale, annual picnics, school ending (my Baby is going into first grade-YAY!!!), and our annual family vacation. Plus throw in a couple of birthdays and holidays for good measure. It seems there has been something pending every week/weekend and this is my first Saturday 'off' in quite awhile. I haven't seen many of my friends or scrapped a thing in about 2 weeks but I can't wait to get back at 'er!

I am expecting some wonderful new supplies from Kimberly at Hip 2B Square any day now
