Paper Garland

Happy Saturday!

I have to admit when I took this challenge to make
a paper garland, I was baffled.
The only idea that popped into my head was the chain linked
paper garland that we all made as children.

I pulled out my paper punches and started playing around a little.
I used 2 for this project a 3/4" circle & a 1" scalloped circle
punch and set to work. I punched ALOT of circles (each circle
takes at least 3 and the scalloped shapes are layered and use 6).
This task takes awhile but it easy work that you can do
while watching your favorite Christmas movie (I was watching
Scrooged when I made mine :) )

I ran my shapes through my Xyron machine which saved me
ALOT of time waiting for glue to set. I ended up having to wait
anyway for the Glossy Elements & glitter to set as it was.

I didn't add glitter to all the shapes for 2 reasons a.) it was taking too
long and b.) I hated covering up ALL of the beautiful color &
patterns that these papers posess.

One thing that My Little Shoebox does is hook me up when
I need a color fix. :)

As you can see, the shapes are 3 sided, I just stuck 2 pieces
(at about the halfway mark) and added my twine in the center
and then stuck on my final circle. You may also notice that I
added some clear beads to my garland for a bit of added sparkle.

How is THAT for a Christmas wish???!!!
