Hoppy Easter

I made up some page kits a few months ago take to Crop and Create but didn't count on how busy I would be between eating, chatting, shopping & taking classes. Needless to say I only got a few of my kits done that weekend but still had loads & LOADS of fun.
Since I am a bit of a procrastinator (LMHeadO!!!), I left all the pics & papers in their kits and am just getting to some of them now.

The page is pretty self explanatory: Little Man & his cousin on Easter Sunday.
Papers: K& Co (woodgrain), We R Memory Keepers (Easter themed), Echo Park (blue stripe),
Jillibean Soup stickers, American Crafts buttons & pink Thickers, Bazzill Just the Edge (pink) & Doodlebug border strips (yellow), Studio Calico Rubons

Practice Makes Perfect

Happy Saturday!
In my last post, I was bragging commenting about the wonderful weather we were having and then said I hope I don't jinx it and then we got rain/fog for 3 days straight! But in all seriousness, I DID enjoy it not being so dreadfully muggy for those 3 days.

This is another LO that I did with the July Hip 2-b Square kit and it's of Little Man really taking to bike riding. I am so proud of how far he has come in these last 3 weeks! Initially, driving over a large pebble was enough to through his balance off and he would fall and get frustrated. Tonight, I couldn't keep up with him anymore by foot!! (I think I am going to need a bike of my own and soon!)
We go out almost every night for 30 mins to an hour and it is really helping - I noticed tonight that he was driving without the training wheels touching the ground the whole time!!

**The banners are the cut out ones from Elle's STudio and are a fabulous buy.
They run about $1+ and you just cut them out. Easy peasy and super cheap!
I finished mine with 2 small holes with my Crop A Dile & a toothpick.

I made the grass with my latest Martha purchase (these things are way cool!)

Smile

Happy Thursday!
I went to another scrappy get together last weekend and really got to work on some projects for Hip 2-b Square! I got this LO done of Little Big Guy (he gets seriously offended when I refer to him as ``Little, Tiny or Small`` lately). He was posing with his latest Lego creation and had this sweet little smile on his face. I am so happy with my extremely limited abilities with photo editing. I cropped the rest of the picture out and used only this sweet expression. I liked it so much that I gave copies to my hubby and the Grand-dad`s for Father`s Day.

For this one, I used a new border punch I have been eyeing for many months and finally had a 50% off coupon to use for it (and thankfully, they were still in stock!) I kept the rest of the background white and let the punched pieces and bright colors of the embellishments play oiff each other.

**Watch for this LO in the Fall 2012 Issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today!

2 Sweet

Can you believe that I started off this morning thinking it was Wednesday?
Wishful Thinking!
I have a couple of American Crafts projects to share with you today.

The first one is a LO using all kinds of favorite bits from my AC stash.
The 'fabric paper' from Amy Tangerine's first line will always be a favorite and I will be sure to hang on to every last piece and I knew I would save this sweet paper doll paper for something special.
Check out those cute hearts in between each doll!

Supplies: White (71081) - Cardstock, Gleeful Day Paper (35604) - Daydreams, Is it Any Wonder Fabric Paper (35556) - Amy Tangerine, Come Together Paper (35547) - Amy Tangerine, Feild House Paper Leaves (77258) - Amy Tangerine, Delights Sage Paper Embellishments (72026) - Gardenia, Elements Plastic Buttons (85573) - Daydreams, Cambria Paper (35726) - Shoreline, Muse Whitewash Thickers (53344) - Amy Tangerine Sketchbook

This second project is a card made from the very nautical Shoreline papers.
I just love how the yellow and coral stand out against that navy stripe!
I added a bit of Mister Huey's in Amarillo Taxi to carry my yellow through my project.

Supplies: White (71081) - Cardstock, Dark Kraft (71563) - Cardstock, Denim (71073) - Cardstock,
Pelican Bay Paper (35733) - Shoreline, Pebble Beach Paper (35741) - Shoreline,  Remarks Dimensional Stickers (42274) - Shoreline

Goomba

Happy Monday to You!
I hate to say this (or type this) for fear of jinxing it but we are having THE.BEST.WEATHER. this Summer! It works out great for getting out and playing but not so great for blogging. If you are still checking in - THANK YOU! HUGS!!!

I wanted to share a project I made with the July Hip Kit that I got in the mail last week. I actually kept myself from working with it for a few days which is much different that what I normally do (which is tear into it and start playing!!) and didn't get to put scissors to paper until Saturday when I got together with some fab ladies and scrapped the day away (which was another glorious day but I took a bit of 'me' time since I have been with Little Man non stop for the last month and needed a bit of quiet time).
This is a pic of the July kit.

And this is the first LO that I did with it.
Since I switched to a smaller scrapping format, LOs with several pic are almost always a 2-pager for me now. So far away from how I started out scrapping.

Supplies from July Hip Kit + Addons.

I made myself this little felt Goomba while I was making the boys their stuffies. I knew I'd need a 2-D version for scrapping the pics ;)

I will have a few more projects to share this week!

Bike Riding & Martello

 Hello Everyone!
First, let me apologise for the pictures being all over the place in this post. Blogger is not cooperating today and frankly, I give up playing with it.

Just wanted to give a quick post today. I have been teaching this little sweetie to bike ride this Summer and we have are having LOTS of fun learning. I am hoping to have him riding without training wheels by the end of the season - we practice everyday for usually an hour or more. Learning to peddle took awhile and now we are learning to brake (I am hoping it becomes an instant reaction soon, I am sure the neighbors think I am losing my mind when they see me running after him yelling, 'Brake! Brake!!' LOL.) It's a bit of a longer process with a child on the spectrum but we are having lots of fun nonetheless!

A few weeks ago I had a great time scrapping with some awesome ladies. I got a WHOPPING three LOs done in 8 hrs and one was a two pager! I scrap extremely slow usually and then get easily sidetracked by food, conversation & shopping at crops but since this was a 'gals just getting together' type of thing, there was NO SHOPPING and I was able to settle down after a bit and FOCUS. Who knew I could scrap AND talk at the same time!!??!!
WOOHOO!
This is a LO I did of a class trip I chaperoned for Little Man's class and we ended up at a local landmark. It was great to be a 'tourist' in my town. I am sure I haven't been to this spot since I was a child myself.

Cupcake

Let's start the week off with something sweet :)
A few weeks ago, I took a wonderful cupcake class at the local Bulk Barn (West, for those of you local who are interested) and had an AWESOME time. Hubby couldn't stop looking at them on the car ride home. I came home and took pictures, of course, I was so proud (anyone who knows me well, understands that these are a great feat for me. Things that happen in the kitchen do not come naturally to me). I have been hanging onto this felt cupcake that I bought at Michael's months ago, and finally found a home for it on this LO.

Supplies: Papers - American Crafts, Echo Park, Love Elsie, My Little Shoebox, Cardstock - American Crafts, Stickers - American Crafts, Studio Calico, Crate Paper, Thickers Alphas - American Crafts, Felt Bird - Maya Road, Tags - Creative Cafe, Prima Trim, buttons, paper doily, twine & pin - unknown.
