2 Sweet

Can you believe that I started off this morning thinking it was Wednesday?
Wishful Thinking!
I have a couple of American Crafts projects to share with you today.

The first one is a LO using all kinds of favorite bits from my AC stash.
The 'fabric paper' from Amy Tangerine's first line will always be a favorite and I will be sure to hang on to every last piece and I knew I would save this sweet paper doll paper for something special.
Check out those cute hearts in between each doll!

Supplies: White (71081) - Cardstock, Gleeful Day Paper (35604) - Daydreams, Is it Any Wonder Fabric Paper (35556) - Amy Tangerine, Come Together Paper (35547) - Amy Tangerine, Feild House Paper Leaves (77258) - Amy Tangerine, Delights Sage Paper Embellishments (72026) - Gardenia, Elements Plastic Buttons (85573) - Daydreams, Cambria Paper (35726) - Shoreline, Muse Whitewash Thickers (53344) - Amy Tangerine Sketchbook

This second project is a card made from the very nautical Shoreline papers.
I just love how the yellow and coral stand out against that navy stripe!
I added a bit of Mister Huey's in Amarillo Taxi to carry my yellow through my project.

Supplies: White (71081) - Cardstock, Dark Kraft (71563) - Cardstock, Denim (71073) - Cardstock,
Pelican Bay Paper (35733) - Shoreline, Pebble Beach Paper (35741) - Shoreline,  Remarks Dimensional Stickers (42274) - Shoreline

Goomba

Happy Monday to You!
I hate to say this (or type this) for fear of jinxing it but we are having THE.BEST.WEATHER. this Summer! It works out great for getting out and playing but not so great for blogging. If you are still checking in - THANK YOU! HUGS!!!

I wanted to share a project I made with the July Hip Kit that I got in the mail last week. I actually kept myself from working with it for a few days which is much different that what I normally do (which is tear into it and start playing!!) and didn't get to put scissors to paper until Saturday when I got together with some fab ladies and scrapped the day away (which was another glorious day but I took a bit of 'me' time since I have been with Little Man non stop for the last month and needed a bit of quiet time).
This is a pic of the July kit.
Hip 2-b Square July Kit
And this is the first LO that I did with it.
Since I switched to a smaller scrapping format, LOs with several pic are almost always a 2-pager for me now. So far away from how I started out scrapping.

Supplies from July Hip Kit + Addons.

I made myself this little felt Goomba while I was making the boys their stuffies. I knew I'd need a 2-D version for scrapping the pics ;)

I will have a few more projects to share this week!

Bike Riding & Martello

 Hello Everyone!
First, let me apologise for the pictures being all over the place in this post. Blogger is not cooperating today and frankly, I give up playing with it.

Just wanted to give a quick post today. I have been teaching this little sweetie to bike ride this Summer and we have are having LOTS of fun learning. I am hoping to have him riding without training wheels by the end of the season - we practice everyday for usually an hour or more. Learning to peddle took awhile and now we are learning to brake (I am hoping it becomes an instant reaction soon, I am sure the neighbors think I am losing my mind when they see me running after him yelling, 'Brake! Brake!!' LOL.) It's a bit of a longer process with a child on the spectrum but we are having lots of fun nonetheless!

A few weeks ago I had a great time scrapping with some awesome ladies. I got a WHOPPING three LOs done in 8 hrs and one was a two pager! I scrap extremely slow usually and then get easily sidetracked by food, conversation & shopping at crops but since this was a 'gals just getting together' type of thing, there was NO SHOPPING and I was able to settle down after a bit and FOCUS. Who knew I could scrap AND talk at the same time!!??!!
WOOHOO!
This is a LO I did of a class trip I chaperoned for Little Man's class and we ended up at a local landmark. It was great to be a 'tourist' in my town. I am sure I haven't been to this spot since I was a child myself.

Cupcake

Let's start the week off with something sweet :)
A few weeks ago, I took a wonderful cupcake class at the local Bulk Barn (West, for those of you local who are interested) and had an AWESOME time. Hubby couldn't stop looking at them on the car ride home. I came home and took pictures, of course, I was so proud (anyone who knows me well, understands that these are a great feat for me. Things that happen in the kitchen do not come naturally to me). I have been hanging onto this felt cupcake that I bought at Michael's months ago, and finally found a home for it on this LO.

Supplies: Papers - American Crafts, Echo Park, Love Elsie, My Little Shoebox, Cardstock - American Crafts, Stickers - American Crafts, Studio Calico, Crate Paper, Thickers Alphas - American Crafts, Felt Bird - Maya Road, Tags - Creative Cafe, Prima Trim, buttons, paper doily, twine & pin - unknown.

Sweet Boy

I am assuming there will be some HUGE payback from my Little Man for these pics some day.
The poor little thing. But for now, I am going to put them in his album (and online) and suffer the consequences later ;)

I had to re-do this LO as it got a bit of water damage and alot of my elements fell off. If I liked the LO better(even though I loved the colors scheme, I always felt that the elemenst were floating), I'd have tried to fix it as best I could but for now, I took my pictures off and started over using my new Basic Grey papers & my favorite 8.5x11 format.
Supplies: American Crafts Cardstock, Basic Grey Papers, Stickers & alphas, Studio Calico paper (grey background), Cosmo Cricket phrase stickers, American Crafts Mini Alphas, Crate Paper Alpha stickers ('4'), Maya Road straight pin, Twinery Twine, Tim Holtz Tiny attacher.
Scalloped edge scissors & circle punches.

Hexagons

Hey Everyone!
I have a few Hexagon inspired projects from the American Crafts blog this week!
This is one of my new favorite LOs. I love it when a project just falls into place (and I don't even hate my henscratch on this one!)
White (71081) - Cardstock, Raspberry (71019) - Cardstock, Edgewater Paper (35739) - Shoreline, Biscayne Paper (35720) - Shoreline, Bits Sandollar Die Cut Shapes (85585) - Shoreline, Pantry Rouge (53308) - Thickers, Rockabye Powder (42955) - Thickers, Journal Black (53337) - Amy Tangerine Sketchbook Thickers, Notebook Border Punch (63001) - Knock Outs, Dimensional Dots Adhesive (61709) - This to That, Solid Glue Runner (61711) - This to That

For the card, I simply handcut a few of the hexagons out from the paper and added them on top of the card for dimension.

High Point

Happy Friday, Friends!
I have a LO to share that I literally just completed AND photographed this afternoon!! (I am most usually a week after the fact ;) ) I just LOVED the Up & Away Collection from Basic Grey and couldn't wait to use it on a LO. I was quite literally straining my brain to think of a way to use that awsome hot air balloon on a LO and then it hit me: The 'high point' of my day! Well, in this case, the pic represents the High Point of my Week (when C-man was in school, that is).

I was the parent in charge of the hot lunch program on Fridays and I would get Little Man to join/help me and then we would have lunch together in the school kitchen when I was finished my duties. It was an awesome way to squeeze in some one on one time for us (as I have two sweet little after schoolers as well through the week- they spend all their time playing and then it is a mad rush to get homework, bath, supper in before bed when they leave and there isn't alot of time left for us as a family ). I really looked forward to our weekly 'lunch dates' and never missed one.

(Apologies for the fuzzy pic of the LO, I can't seem to figure out how to get the image sharper with the new editing program I am using)
Supplies: Cardstock: American Crafts, Paper- Basic Grey, Echo Park, Twine - The Twinery, Stickers- Basic Grey, Crate Paper, Cosmo Cricket & 7 Gypsies, Buttons - American Crafts, Kraft Chevron bag - Whiskers Graphics, Alphas - American Crafts, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, Jenni Bowlin Banner Punch, EK Success Circle Punch

Last Day

Happy Tuesday, Scrappy Peeps!
I have a simple LO to share that I did on the weekend when I got together to scrap with some great ladies:) It's of my Little Man and his 2 friends (who also were my afterschool kids last year) on their last day of school. I really like the simplicity and clean lines of this one.
I used to scrap exclusively on black/dark cardstock but have gotten away from it these past few years. I am glad that I have come back to it, I really like the way this looks with the primary colors and the text design on the paper. I was also able to squeeze in these sweet felt embellishments that I have been holding onto (I got them at half price at Michaels, months ago and they still have tonnes more on for $2.50. This is always a hard deal for me to pass up when I am there but I do time and again.
I have yet to do the journalling on this one but when I do, my rotten hand writing will be safely hidden away in the library card pocket. ;)

Supplies: Cardstock - American Crafts, Papers - Cosmo Cricket, BoBunny, Echo Park, Twine - The Twinery, Felt Embellishments - KI Memories, Alphas-American Crafts Thickers, Ticket - Maya Road, Library card & Button - unknown

Fave New Releases

Do you follow the new scrappy releases when they premier at CHA twice a year?
I am always interested to see what is new and exciting and this year is no different. In fact, I have quite a few 'must haves' on my shopping list and ALOT come from American Crafts and it's sister companies Pebbles & Studio Calico.

The first on my list is Elizabeth Karchner's new line 5th and Frolic.
Although I normally scrap boy pics and tend to shy away from feminine lines, I devoured the last Lizzy line and expect to do the same with this one. I just love that polaroid, teal brick and sunny little flower combination. And check out those cute little burlap bows! Seriously sweet!

Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic
You can see the whole line HERE.
Next on my list is Amy Tan's new line.
That royal blue & orange combo will be perfect for scrapping my Little Man and check out that chevron wood pattern paper! LOVE the colors in this line.
Amy Tangerine Ready, Set, Go!
You can see the whole release HERE and ALL of the new releases HERE.

Pebbles REALLY hit this one out of the park.
If I can't get my hands on Seen & Noted & Walnut Grove, I am probably going to be one unhappy camper. The colors in both lines are phenomenal (I am seriously drawn to colorful, graphic papers). And check out the label maker word phrases in Seen & Noted. Seriously-I am SO happy to see these stickers makea comeback.
Pebbles Seen & Noted
You can see all of the new release HERE.

Pebbles Walnut Grove
You can see all of the new release HERE

Even though these papers are not on the colorful side, they will be the perfect background paper for some of the above lines.I LOVE using a non-competing, lightly patterned paper on my backgrounds. It gives a LO added detail but doesn't overwhelm the other papers. And you will want to note the 12x12 sunburst screen. I predict this will be a very popular item.

Studio Calico Classic Calico Vol 3

Studio Calico AGAIN hits the mark with this Christmas paper collection. The colors are gordeous and the designs are classic. This might be my Christmas paper purchase this year. I also adore the woodgrain alphas. I get along with pretty much ANY woodgrain scrappy product.

Wonderland by Studio Calico

You can see all 3 of the Studio Calico CHA-S releases on their blog HERE.

These are my picks of CHA-S must haves.
What do you think? Do you like these lines too or do have something entirely different on your shopping list? Please share.
I LOVE chatting about scrappy stuff, especially at CHA time!
